Efrawg

Father of Peredur in the romance of that name. "Efrawg" is the Welsh name for York, and so Peredur son of Efrawg is Peredur son of York--presumably the ruler of York. Rachel Bromwich points to the theory that Peredur ab Efrawg comes from "pr(a)etor ab Eubracium"--a magistrate from York.
