Gofannon
gu-VAHN-non
Welsh: smith

Welsh god of smithing, equivalent to the Irish god Goibhniu and the Gaulish god Gobannos.

Son of Dôn (and presumably Beli), brother of Gwydion, Arianrhod, et al.

Little is known of him, except that he killed his nephew Dylan Eil Ton, twin brother of Lleu Llaw Gyffes. Rachel Bromwich connects it to the story of Goibniu killing Ruadan with a spear in the Second Battle of Magh Tured, but there is sadly no context for the Welsh story.
